Chris Loring was one of the best runners on the 1972 team and they had a good chance to go to state xc that year. My brother Dirk Hall, Cliff Willing, and John Faller were also members (if memory serves correct) of that team. I believe Chris was the teams best 1/2 miler that year. All around nice guy as I recall, and a true shock when he was killed in a car crash. I don't know all of the details, but I do remember my feelings of lose for some one so young and a good friend of my brothers. I believe the accident happened in the summer after senior year... I am sure we could find the details in cyberspace, but probably not the impact his death had on the team and his friends.
